I have been going to Wynnewood Dental Arts since 2005 and have referred friends and family. While going to the dentist may not be a pleasurable experience for many, Dr. Definnes and his team have always taken great care of me since 2005. A few months ago, I had my regular routine cleaning, and the hygienist gave me a deep clean and high polish, which is always nice. They have no qualms with giving feedback about how well I’ve been taking care of my own teeth and providing suggestions for continuing to do so. Most recently, I had to have a crown replaced, and I am ALWAYS afraid of pain. The team made me feel at ease and made sure I was prepared for the procedure and asked me several times if I was comfortable. Dawn and Debbie, the administrative staff are fabulous too. i am a dental phobic, and everyone at the office was very kind to me when i was there for consultation prior to scheduling crown replacement . I am a cryer at the dentist 's office and they assured me they've had other cryers! i felt so much better after that and even stopped crying.thank you Nicole and Dr. DeFinnis and all the staff. it is now 2 weeks later, i had the procedure yesterday and they were right! their sedation put me to sleep! My last visit was an unplanned one: a small piece had chipped off a front tooth, quite close to my gum and not really noticeable. I felt I should get Dr. DeFinnis' opinion, so made a last minute appointment. I was prepped by the technician and Dr. DeFinnis was masked up; he took a look and said that it really needed no attention and I was "good to go." Last visit disappointed me. I have this “margin” appearing on the tooth that was bonded in August. To me, it is quite noticeable and I was told that the material used to do the bonding was more “flexible”. If that’s the case, why isn’t the adjacent tooth (bonded at same time) having the same issue. Or, the tooth on the left side, done years ago, so perfectly (by Dr. Definnis). This kind of procedure should not be done by a Dental Assistant. I am unhappy with the results and more unhappy about the 2nd visit to correct it. Total waste of my time, my money and Sep 11, 2020

Yet, after Xrays were taken, I was advised the Plan did not cover root canal. Are there any other services listed that are not covered. Wynnewood Dental Arts was a great choice for the work needed to be done. The staff was very knowledgeable and very comforting to all my dental needs. The procedure went very quickly and with no hiccups. My only concern was their IT. Apparently my emailed x-rays could not be received even though I had sent them several times. That was minor stuff and just my only setback with office detail. Otherwise everyone was all smiles and showcased great customer care. Need a quick scheduling rearrangement? I have a hip implant for which I premedicate for most dental procedures to prevent a catastrophic infection. On 9/20/17 I had a tooth prepped for a crown (premeditated) & a mold taken. Dr DeFinnis stated that it would not be necessary to premeditate for the crown installation as there would be no invasive work. On 10/20/17 I returned for the installation. The new assistant scraped the tooth extremely vigorously into the gumline causing significant bleeding. After this she demonstrated her flossing method on another tooth which caused further bleeding at that site. I floss 2x a day and have never had any bleeding from flossing at home or during any prior dental visits. I had noted my implant situation to the assistant prior to her work. I feel very much at risk from the bleeding while unprotected by antibiotics and I believe the crown could have been safely and securely installed without all the bleeding. initially when i came here, i was happy with how the office staff were. over time i started to notice things that really bothered me with respect to bedside manner and dentist recommendations. i went in for a recent visit. my tooth had really been bothering me and i knew from prior fillings and oral surgery that i probably needed a filling or a root canal since i felt nerve damage all along the side where the tooth was. first, the dentist was very snarky and condescending when i asked the nurse to take an x-ray of the area. i had x-rays done a few months prior, but there was clearly a difference in how i felt and i wanted to confirm that with a bite wing. second, he actually had the audacity to try and sell me on a mouth guard. i was really pissed off because i knew for a fact that a mouth guard HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH A TOOTH FILLING OR ROOT CANAL. he sounded like such a pushy salesman trying to sell me on a stupid device that it was all i could do to not get up and leave. during the filling, he was super rough on my mouth with the dental tools. 3 days later i still feel the scars in my mouth bc he nicked my inner check with the drill. after i got my filling, i called the next day for them to send my dental records elsewhere. i refuse to go to a place where the dentist flat out ignores my concerns, takes me for an idiot, and tries to sell me on a product that literally has no use for what my concerns are. not only will i not recommend this place, but i will be sure to tell anyone who asks me if you're looking for good bedside manner, and a dentist who has your best interest in mind, this is not the place. shame however, because the nurses are super friendly. but i would never want to visit this dentist again Jul 13, 2017
