filling1Untreated cavities lead to a number of health problems, including gum disease. We can help prevent these health problems by detecting cavities early, during your checkups, and filling them with a tooth-colored composite resin.

We no longer use mercury amalgam (metal) fillings that stand out from tooth enamel and let everyone know you’ve had a filling. Instead, the composite resin we use blends with white tooth enamel. It’s also more resistant to variations in temperature, which means less sensitivity to hot and cold foods. Composite fillings are made of a strong plastic material, so they contain no metal and no mercury – they’re biocompatible.

If you currently have metal fillings, and you’d prefer an all-white smile, Dr. DeFinnis can replace your metal fillings with composites
